If you jump in the lava and stay there until you die your Marine will give the thumbs up like in the Terminator 2 movie where the T-800 Terminator dies in the lava. Complete the Story Campagin mode once.
This patch was the fix I needed to make Doom 3 work with Win7 64bt. It works great for me. Now for a side note for those having resolution problems getting Doom 3 to run at 1920 X 1080 etc. You have to edit the Autoexec.cfg file in the Doom3 Base folder. For example: set rmode -1 set rcustomWidth 1920 set rcustomHeight 1080.
